Who
we are.

Group founder, Greg Pell, has been a part of music ministry for his entire lifetime. In years past he spent time playing with his family in the Pell brothers and then his long run with group, the Gracemen, came to a close when a dear friend and fellow group mate went home to be with the Lord. In 2020, Greg brought his daughter, Jessica Sexton, onto the scene.

They felt God pressing it upon their hearts to move forward with what God was doing with their music ministry. Not too long after the pandemic had ended, and after much prayer, Mr. Josh Berczik, a close and long time family friend joined them as well. They are more recently joined by Greg Pell’s son, and Jessica’s younger brother, Eric Pell.

The four have come together and formed what is now, Redeemed, a Southern Bluegrass Gospel group, bringing the heart of worship and the hope of Christ to a lost world. Lord willing, they continue moving forward with their call to fulfill the great commission!

Meet the members!

Greg Pell

Founder of the group, and the man behind the guitar, banjo and lead/backup vocals, is Mr. Greg Pell. Greg has played music his entire life, traveling to churches and music festivals as a kid and early teen years with the Pell Brothers! He was saved at 16 years old at an all night Gospel singing, where his uncle led him to the Lord. He started to realize that he needed a deeper relationship with God, and surrendered his life to Him. He later joined the stage with his long-time best friend who both went on to travel locally as the Gracemen for most of Greg’s adult life. His band mate and good friend, Alan, unexpectantly went home to be with the Lord in 2019. Greg found himself on his knees many times, praying God’s will on his music ministry and where to go from there. He brought on his daughter, Jessica, and God has moved mountains and made a way for Greg’s musical talents and heart for God, to continue on, even today. Greg has been married to his wife, Nicki, for 36 years and they have three children (Jessica, Kirk and Eric) and 7 grandchildren! Greg works on his In-laws family farm doing field work, carpentry work, and so much more. His dedication to the Lord shows through his humbleness and his continued obedience to the call of music ministry.

Jessica Sexton

Jessica is Greg’s daughter, a wife, and a mother of three! She wears MANY hats, as she teaches the PreK program at a small Christian school, travels to sing on the weekends, is our merch coordinator/creator, runs and designs our social media networks, and that just scratches the surface! She has been singing since she was a little girl and sometimes traveled locally with her dad and the Graceman, where you’d probably find her fast asleep on the front row during their set. As she got older, and became a mom in high school, she knew God was just getting started with her “story”. She married her high school sweetheart, Justin, and they have been married for almost 13 years, together for almost 20. They welcomed their two sons into the family shortly after tying the knot. After being saved in Bible school at 9 years old, she rededicated her life to Christ back in 2020 in the midst of the pandemic after feeling God press upon her heart to have a closer relationship with Him! Jess and her dad, Greg, started making live videos at home to help encourage the community through the pandemic, and God started working through them in a mighty way! They had no idea it would lead to Redeemed! If she’s not on stage or in the classroom, you’ll find her at the ballfield cheering on her kids, pressing t-shirts, or spending time on the farm with family!

Josh berczik

Josh had the honor of marrying his high school sweetheart, Amy. They met in music class, fell in love and music is such a huge part of their lives even now. They have four children who are now all grown up and starting a life of their own. Josh met the Pell family at the church he grew up in and to say the least, Josh, Greg and his brother Mick became friends right away. Yes, they ended up being separated on different sides of the church almost every Sunday they were together. Greg’s family had a bluegrass group and Josh tagged along every chance he got, learning everything he could by watching this amazingly talented family. As a teenager, Josh played with a Harford county group called the Heaven Bound Express, who went on to be a full-time group called Refuge. During the pandemic days, Josh and Amy were asked to sing at her church for a Christmas program so he called up his ‘ole buddy Greg and asked him to help. Greg suggested Josh play the bass with the song while he played guitar. Playing music was something Josh shared with Amy, it was a passion and a calling Josh felt the Lord wanted him to do but as they say, life kept getting in the way. Then in 2021, Greg called and said he and his daughter were starting to sing together and encouraged Josh to pray over coming to sing and play with them! “Folks I’ve never been more honored and scared at the same time. Here are these two God given heavenly voices and we’ll me… it honestly feels like God knew what he was doing because it worked!!! I’ve heard people try to blend with family voices before and have never really been a fan. But the thing that got me the most was from the first song we ever sang together, the Holy Spirit poured over all three of us and wow, what a blessing we shared.” Josh shares that we all want to sound good and be pleasing in God’s sight… but every practice, every concert, every special event and every church service… God is right there holding our hands. We are truly sheltered in the arms of God!

Eric pell

Eric joined the group a little over a year ago, and he basically “hit the ground running!” He is married to his wife, Destiny, and they have a little boy and another baby boy on the way this fall! If you have been out to see us, and hear that sweet little voice yelling “daddy!” from the crowd, that would be Watson! Eric is Greg’s son, and he works on the family farm too! He grew up the “baby” of the family, watching his dad and uncles play music. As he got older, he started to realize his love for the guitar and singing, and who could blame him…it runs in his blood! Eric has a talent for tinkering, re-engineering broken machinery, painting tractors, plowing fields, welding, electrical…you name it, and he can probably figure it out! These talents bring a big asset to the farm; it’s like he was born to be a farmer! That is, when he’s not busy being a daddy, husband or on-stage playing rhythm guitar and maybe even some vocals in the future! Eric has been a joy to have with us, and when you meet him, his smile can quickly become contagious! Being a part of Redeemed has helped Eric grow a stronger relationship with the Lord, and that is something that is priceless to witness! He continues to grow in his talents, and we are so excited to have him with us on this journey as a vessel for Christ!
